but what is it?

so then…what else could it be?

well, what comes out of this?

but why? what’s the big idea?

PLENTY limited

the truth about

is that it is most certainly the biggest personal project I have taken on so far. Grown out of an old dream to design and sell screen tees as a teen, PLENTY is rooted in years of ambitious creativity. I bring inspiration from my past into this thing, and you’ll see culminations of my passions and interests here.

Plenty Limited, via this site folioPLENTY, is my platform for sharing my work and style with other artists, designers, and interested individuals. The goal of sharing in this way is to establish a network through exposure while offering my skills for collaboration, commission, or employment. I guess in so many words, folioPLENTY is still a portfolio site, but I think, in a few little ways, it aims to be something beyond that.

I don’t just want to show my work off hoping to land the next gig (though that is an important part). I want folioPLENTY to grow along with myself and Plenty Limited to encapsulate the full scope and nature of my style and skills, interests and contributions. Beyond my work, I want the whole thing to be about bringing perspective into conversation. Through my investment and passion, with others, for everyone.

Plenty Limited is and will be an engine of unique products reflecting a communally influenced taste. It is a studio and lab for coming together and tempering raw thoughts and emotion into impassioned stories, artifacts, and experiences. This site and the foundation of Plenty Limited were initial steps in an ongoing exercise of delivering perspective through art and design.

We are each such typical creatures though too often each drawn apart by our nuances. Each of us a thumb print in all our own rights, totally unique nonetheless. Especially these days, it can seem impossible to see eye to eye and know one another. But I think coming to know others, or even one’s self, is crucial to finding out how we all fit together. So it follows, we gain this knowledge through gained perspective, but in what ways are we curating such exchanges? How do we cultivate perspective and deliver it in a way that brings us each closer? That is what PLENTY is searching for with each step.

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

I’ve always felt moved by art in all its forms. I spent much of my youth drawing and trying new mediums until one day, my mom introduced me to Architecture. From then on, I was curious about this complex artistic form. In college, I learned about the cultural impacts architecture has on society. I began wondering about my role in making a change in the built environment. Over time, I set my mind on advancing the architectural literacy and language of places like Baltimore, my hometown. Back home, and elsewhere across the country, people’s sense of place is thinning and I think spaces assigned to the youth play a major role in that. So, much of my work and school experience focuses on art, architecture, and education. I aim to deepen my understanding of each of those practices and pedagogies to find a clearer image of the designer I want to be.
